Abstract: The development of processing technology is an important symbol and focus of the industrialization of traditional Chinese medicine and modern pharmaceutical equipment. With the release of the outline of the strategic plan for the development of traditional Chinese medicine (2016-2030) and other policies， intelligent manufacturing and green manufacturing have become an inevitable trend in the future development of China's manufacturing industry， which has brought unprecedented opportunities and high requirements for the development of modern traditional Chinese medicine processing technology. In this paper， the principle， characteristics and application progress of traditional Chinese medicine processing technology， such as grinding， extraction， sterilization and preservation， are reviewed， and the existing problems are summarized in order to provide references for the integration and modernization of the key technology of traditional Chinese medicine processing.
