Abstract: The quality of Chinese medicine is directly related to the clinical efficacy of Chinese medical. Among the many factors that affect the quality of Chinese medicine， the initial processing technology is the source factor， and it is the key to the formation of the quality of traditional Chinese medicine. This paper reviewed on the historical evolution of initial processing， the development of initial processing， storage and transportation of Chinese medicine. Aiming at issues such as initial processing and warehousing and transportation management， it was proposed to use modern technologies to establish intensive and typical Chinese herbal medicine harvesting and processing technologies， and establish intelligent and information warehousing and transportation management systems to provide reference for the production of high-quality and traceable Chinese herbal medicine.
