Abstract: The research status and development opportunities of Jiangsu marine biological medicine was reviewed. At the moment of starting and implement of “The 13th Five-year Plan”， there are several aspects should be focused on: developing aquaculture and processing; enhancing the development on marine bio-resource which Jiangsu is rich in; promoting full-valued utilization of marine bio-resource and sustainable development; strengthening technical reserve of Jiangsu algae resource development to prepare for the algal bloom. We hope this review can provide certain direction for the development of Jiangsu marine biological medicine and promote the economic development of Jiangsu marine biological medicine.
