Abstract: OBJECTIVE To observe the clinical efficacy of treating luteinized unruptured folicle syndrome(LUFS) with Nourishing Kidney to Promote Ovulation Decoction， human chorionic gonadotropin(HCG) as well as acupuncture. METHODS 87 patients with luteinized unruptured folicle syndrome were randomly divided into two groups. 45 cases in the treatment group were given Nourishing Kidney to Promote Ovulation Decoction， HCG combined with acupuncture， while 42 cases in the control group were only given Nourishing Kidney to Promote Ovulation Decoction and HCG. Then the pregnancy rate， ovulation rate and the levels of luteinizing hormone(LH)， Estradiol(E₂)， progesterone(P) were observed so as to make a comparasion of the clinical effects between these two groups. RESULTS The treatment group was more superior to the control group in improving the levels of LH， E₂ and P， pregnancy rate and ovulation rate(P<0.05). CONCLUSION Nourishing Kidney to Promote Ovulation Decoction， HCG combined with acupuncture can treat patients with LUFS effectively. The mechanism of the therapy may be related to its role of improving the endocrine situation.
