Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To rapidly determine geniposide content during gardenia countercurrent extract process through near infrared spectroscopy(NIR). METHODS NIR combined with partial least squares (PLS) was established to rapidly determine geniposide content with HPLC as the reference. RESULTS The geniposide correlation coefficient (R) and root-mean-square error of calibration (RMSEC) were respectively 0.997 and 0.113. After an external validation, the root-mean-square error of prodiction (RMSEP) was 0.132 and the correlation coefficient of predicted and true values reached 0.996. CONCLUSION NIR can be used as a kind of accurate, rapid and nondestructive detection method applied in studing changes of active ingredients content during traditional Chinese medicine countercurrent extraction process.
