Abstract: Acupuncture as a means of prevention and treatment of diseases， is widely used in clinical practice. Because of the complexity of the human body， the mechanism of acupuncture is not yet clear. The application of metabonomics can provide valuable information for the rule of acupuncture effect and biological basis， and it is of great significance for explaining acupuncture theory， promoting the modernization and internationalization of acupuncture and moxibustion. After analyzing and summarizing the current research situation of acupuncture metabonomics in recent ten years， the author puts forward some deficiencies and ideas in order to promote the development of acupuncture research.
