Abstract: Infertility is one of the common， difficult and complicated gynecological disease. 108 prescription were collected and analyzed by the methods of frequence statistics and factor analysis. The usage methods and the TCM principle of treating infertility were also exploded， and new approach was supplied for its treatment. The conclusion shows the doctors in Ming and Qing dynasties were paying much attention on the physical character of female， and they were good at harmonizing the kidney， liver and spleen. They were using a lot of tonifying medicines， trying to protect qi and blood， especially using the methods of warming-tonifying and warming-smoothing.
