Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To explore the effect of total flavnoids of persimmon leaves on the expression of adhesion molecule in ApoE
-/- mice with thoracic and abdominal atherosclerosis.METHODS ApoE
-/- mice were divided into model group and total treatment group randomly, putting c57BL/6 mice as control group, making the proximal part of the thoracic and abdominal aorta into continuous frozen section, which would be stained and observed about the tectology changes. The serum changes would also be tested. Immunohistochemistry stain method was used to observe the distribution of the adhesion molecule expression in the certain pathological location. RESULTS HE stained showed that the control group's enangium is smooth without AS changes, and the model group had large area plaques, extending into the lumen and caused stenosis. The treatment group alleviated without obvious lumen stenosis. The serum tests show there was no apparent lipdemia differences between the model group and treatment group. The immunohistochemisty tests show the control group mice aorta had no positive stained granule expression, and the model group had the positive expression in the shoulder and the fiber head of the plaque. The treatment group had a rare positive expression which mainly intra the vessel. The model group were lower than the treatment group apparently (P<0.05).CONCLUSION Total flavnoids of persimmon leaves can suppress the expression of adhesive molecule (P-Selection, ICAM-1, VCAM-1, et al). Furthermore to alleviate the pathogenic changes of AS, but it cannot lower the lipdemia.
