Abstract: OBJECTIVE To investigate into the effect and safety of loose thread-drawing in the treatment of ischiorectal abscess.METHOD Forty patients were randomly and evenly divided into two groups.In the treatment group loose thread-drawing was used and in the control group normal method was used.RESULT The cure rates in both groups were 100%,with no statistical significance(P>0.05).However,statistically significant differences existed in healing time and occurrence of complications(P<0.05).No serious accidents occurred during the treatment.CONCLUSION Loose thread-drawing is effective in treating ischiorectal abscess,with such advantages as good protection of the anus,less complications and less pain.
