Abstract: The new edition of Treatise on Exogenous Febrile Diseases has been renamed as Study of Exogenous Febrile Diseases, with different layout and content. These changes are open to discussion. The study of the exogenous febrile diseases is different in category from treatise of exogenous febrile diseases, and therefore the new name of the book is not accurate. Treatise on Exogenous Febrile Diseases has initiated the practice of combining diseases with syndromes, and due respect should be shown to this classical work in the original.
