Abstract: OBJECTIVE To demonstrate the correlation between the transformation of syndromes of chronic rhinitis and the expression of the nose mucous membrane p38MAPK. METHOD Each sample was stained with p38MAPK and microscope was used to observe the distribution of the positive cells and calculate the average. The results were analyzed with the computer software SPSS 8.0 for windows. RESULT The transformation from the qi deficiency syndrome to the blood stasis syndrome was found to be directly correlated with p38MAPK expression. CONCLUSION During the process of transformation from the qi deficiency syndrome to the blood stasis syndrome, p38MAPK is one of the important factors.
