Abstract: OBJECTIVE To observe the treatment of unstable angina pectoris with Quyu Xiaoban Capsule and its effect on the levels of plasma u - PA and uPAR. METHOD With stratified random sampling 40 patients were divided into a treatment group of 20 patients treated with both routine western medicines and Quyu Xiaoban Capsule and a control group of another 20 patients treated with routine western medicines. RESULT Quyu Xiaoban Capsule could relieve the symptoms of angina pectoris and markedly reduce the levels of plasma u - PA and uPAR. CONCLUSION The combined method is more satisfactory than the simple western medicine treatment for unstable angina pectoris.
