Abstract: Based on an analysis of the records in Canon of Medicine about the unusually long life expectancy of sage and distinguished people and the Taoist doctrines,the author believes that this refers mainly to the spiritual state of uniformity of nature and "Taoism",rather than actual unlimited life.
