Abstract:
On March 2, 2004, the Ministry of Public Health in Britain promulgated the Bill for Legislation of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture Management. In this paper, the author deals with an evaluation of the bill, a retrospect of the background of the legislation of traditional Chinese medicine in Britain, a brief account of the process of separate legislation of herbal medicine and acupuncture and a forecast on the attitude of the Ministry of Public Health after the promulgation of the Bill. Traditional Chinese medicine is expected to become a standardized practice in Britain.
