Abstract: The compatibility of traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions is the main method for reducing toxicity, preserving efficacy, or enhancing the efficacy of toxic traditional Chinese medicine. This article introduces the background, content, and characteristics of "heterogeneous restriction" compound compatibility and detoxification theory, the "heterogeneous restriction" compound compatibility and detoxification theory mainly includes three parts: property and flavor restriction, heterologous effect restriction, and toxicity restriction by strengthening healthy qi. It also analyzes the principle of compatibility and detoxification of tripterygium wilfordii, and explains the scientific connotation of the "heterogeneous restriction" compound compatibility and detoxification theory.
