Abstract
OBJECTIVE Observe the effect of autonomic discharge when EA different acupoints on the rats with small intestine motility disturbance. METHODS Male Wistar rats were randomly divided into blank control group, model group, electro-acupuncture group. After modeling, electro-acpuncture at Zusanli, Liangqiu, Neiguan and Daling, recording each rat's vagus nerve and splanchnic nerve discharge. RESULTS Autonomic discharge frequency of control group had no significant changes during the observation period. After modeling, model control group vagus nerve discharge frequency was significantly reduced(P<0.01), splanchnic nerve discharge frequency was significantly higher(P<0.01). The vagues nerve discharge frequency of groups of Zusanli, Neiguan, and Liangqiu, after electro-acupuncture,was significantly higher(P<0.05). The splanchnic nerve discharge frequency of all groups after electro-acupuncture was significantly reduced(P<0.05). CONCLUSION The influence on the small intestine of the autonomic nervous system is one of the reasons why acupuncture is effective.
