Effects of Xijiao Dihuang Decoction on the TNF-α, IL-6 and Hemorheology of Stagnated-heat Syndromes and H-hypertensive rats

  • OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of Xijiao Dihuang Decoction on the TNF-α, IL-6 and hemorheology of stagnated-heat syndromes (elevated homocysteine levels-Hcy accompanied with hypertension ) and H-hypertensive rats.METHODS Modeling stagnated-heat syndromes and H-hypertensive rats, then they were treated with three different doses Xijiao Dihuang Decoction respectively (0.75 g crude drug/mL,1.5 g crude drug/mL, 3.0 g crude drug/mL) as well as a control group with no treatment. To detect and analyze the TNF-α, IL-6, and hemorheology statistically.RESULTS The TNF-α, IL-6 and hemorheology in the treatment group were significantly different compared with the control group. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.01), with low and middle dose more effective.CONCLUSION Xijiao Dihuang Decoction can effectively intervene the TNF-α, IL-6, and hemorheology of stagnated-heat syndromes and H-hypertensive rats, thus achieving the simplification of complex risk factors for stroke in clinical studies.
