Abstract
OBJECTIVE To observe the influence of massage to the express change of sciatic nerve injured rat's axoplasmic transporting motor protein. To investigate the effect mechanism of massage treating sciatic nerve injury.METHODS A sciatic nerve clamping rat model was set. The pathological and behavioral changes of rats in normal group, sham operation group, model group, model control group and massage group were observed through measuring the wet weight of the gastrocnemius and heat pain threshold experiment. Kinesin in rats' spinal cord and dynein express situation were observed by immunohistochemical staining and the differences between each group were counted.RESULTS The rat's sense and movement function decreased obviously after its sciatic nerve was injured according to the heat pain threshold and wet weight of the gastrocnemius tests of rats in the model group and model control group. After the massage treatment, the experimental evaluation of wet weight of the gastrocnemius test and heat pain threshold experiment increase significantly and there were no significant difference as compared with the normal group 20 days after treatment. The kinesin and dynein immunohistochemical expression of the model group, control group and massage group obviously increased compared with the normal group. There were significant differences among massage group, model group and control group.CONCLUSION The massage treatment can promote the recovery of axoplasmic transporting function by increasing the expression of axoplasmic transporting motor protein kinesin and dynein. Then the neuronal cells and nerve innervation targeted tissue are two-way influenced. Finally, massage treatment can improve the sense and movement function of sciatic nerve injured rat.
