Acupuncture for Syncope Caused by the Abstract of Nasal Packing Material

OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of acupuncture on syncope caused by abstract of the nasal packing material. METHODS 92 patients， who had operated resection of the lower deviation mucus of the nasal septum and needed another distending sponge abstract operation， were devided into experimental group (acupuncture group) and normal group (contrast group)， and the warning syncope and syncope cases were observed. RESULTS In the experimental group， there was only 1 case of warning syncope， and the contrast group 6 syncope added by 15 warning syncope. The two groups showed apparently different results (P<0.01). CONCLUSION Acupuncture can prevent syncope effectively， and it can release the patients' pain at the same time， which is worthy to be popularized and applied clinically.
