Prescription Dismantlement Study on Effect of Jiangtang Tongmai Tablet on Mesangium Extracellular Matrix

OBJECTIVE To investigate into the effect of two different compositions of drugs in Jiangtang Tongmai Tablet for clearing away heat and nourishing yin and qi respectively on mesangium extracellular matrix(ECM).METHOD In vitro cultivation method for human mesangium and serum pharmacology method were used to observe the effect of different comjpositions on ECM.RESULT Both compositions of drugs had the effect of inhibiting FN,LN and ColIV,especially the composition of clearing away heat.CONCLUSION The method of clearing away heat is more effective than the method of nourishing yin and qi in inhibiting hardening of the renal glomeruli.
