Clinical Observation on Treatment of Protrusion of Lumbar Intervertebral Disc with Electrical Acupuncture at Different Frequencies

OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of electrical acupuncture at different frequencies in the treatment of protrusion of lumbar intervertebral disc.METHOD Electrical acupuncture at the frequencies of 10 Hz and 100 Hz was given to 30 patients.RESULT After treatment,the patients in both groups had improvement in pain,with marked difference in the severity of pain(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Low frequency at 10 Hz is more effective than high frequency at 100 Hz in relieving pain.
