Abstract
Resources of animal derived TCM are an important part of the treasure house of TCMs, especially rare animal medicine resources have made important contributions to the survival and reproduction of the Chinese nation and the population health. Based on the diverse sources of medicinal animal resources, the rich types of primitives, the complex types of animal medicines, and the weaker appropriate activity evaluation methods, the modern scientific research of animal derived TCM is still lagging behind compared with the research progress of plant medicines. The systematic method system that meets the characteristics of animal derived TCM research needs to be strengthened and improved. Based on the progress of modern science and technology in multiple disciplines such as biochemistry, natural product chemistry, resources chemistry of TCM, systems biology, bioengineering, bioinformatics, etc., combined with the quality formation of animal derived TCM, the basis of functional substances, the production and quality evaluation of medicinal materials, and the multi way substitution strategy, this paper systematically reviews and analyzes the methodological progress of animal derived TCM research in China in recent years, and studies on the purification, identification and preparation of animal drug efficacy substances based on multi-omics, bioinformatics, bioengineering and other technical methods. Evaluation and mechanism of biological effects of animal derived TCM; Precision quality control research of animal derived TCM based on proprietary qualitative/quantitative analysis of peptides; The prospect of modern research methodology of animal derived TCM has been sorted out and condensed, in order to provide methodological reference for promoting the research and industrialization of medicinal animal resources and animal derived TCM, provide a reference for further enriching and improving the systematic methodology suitable for animal derived TCM research, and make due contributions to promoting the sustainable development of resources of animal derived TCM and characteristic economic industries in China.
