Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation Strategies for Patients Recovering from COVID-19

  • The rehabilitation of patients recovering from COVID-19 has received increasing attention. Based on the main clinical problems of patients recovering from COVID-19, we proposed the corresponding countermeasures in terms of assessment and intervention according to the concept and technical methods of Chinese medicine rehabilitation. The assessment includes the damaging of healthy qi and lingering of pathogenic qi. The former covers the damaging of qi, yin, body and spirit, while the latter contains phlegm and stasis. In addition, the patient's constitution, age and gender should be taken into account. In terms of intervention, the rehabilitation treatment should consider both body and spirit, apply both attack and supplementation therapies, and use both internal and external prescriptions. Besides, this study also involves a relevant rehabilitation strategy process.
