Effects of Different Decocting Time on the Content of Inorganic Element in Jieyu Shunxin Decoction

  • OBJECTIVE To determine mineral elements content in Jieyu Shunxin Decoction (JYSXD) by ICP-AES,and study the effect of different decocting time on the solution of mineral elements in JYSXD. METHODS Mineral elements (K, Ca, Na, Mg, Al, Zn, Fe, Sn, B, Li, Sr, Cd and As) in JYSXD which was boiled for 30, 60, 90 min, respectively, were detected by ICP-AES after HNO3/H2O2 digestion. RESULTS After JYSXD was boiled for 30 min, each element was not able to completely precipitated. However, after the decoction was boiled for 60 min, all the elements were completely precipitated. K, Ca, Na, Mg, Al, Zn, Fe, Sn, B, Li and Sr were detected, while Cd and As were not found. Among them, K was the highest in the content of major elements and Zn was the highest in trace elements. Each mineral elements in JYSXD showed good linear relationship (r>0.999 0), RSD of precision, stability and repeatability test all satisfied the requirement of quantitative analysis. The recovery was 95.07%~100.83% (RSD<3%). CONCLUSION In order to reduce the decocting time and maintain the solution of mineral elements in JYSXD as much as possible, the decocting time should be controlled at 60 min. The experimental results provide basis for material basis and pharmacodynamics study of Jieyu Shunxin Decoction.
