Tuina's Effect on NT-3/TrkC of Sciatic Nerve Injury Rats

  • OBJECTIVE To study the Tuina's effect on the sensory function of sciatic nerve injury rats and the NT-3/ TrkC expression. METHODS Using the chucking method to establish the sciatic nerve injury model and the rats were randomly divided into normal group, sham-operated group, model group, model control group and the Tuina group. Imulator was used as intervention to observe the rats be havior change. Immunohistochemical staining was used to observe the expression of each rat dorsal root section in the NT-3 TrkC. RESULTS Compared with the normal group, the model group, model control group rats' PWL value were significantly extended. Compared with model group, the Tuina group's PWL value reduced and no significant difference compared with normal group. Compared with the normal group, model group, model control group and the Tuina group's NT-3 immunohistochemical expression were increased significantly. Compared with model group, control group has significant difference (P<0.05). CONCLUSION TCM Tuina can improve the behavior performance of nerve injury in rats. By promoting the expression of the NT-3 and the receptor TrkC, cell apoptosis were inhibited; the growth of nerve cell body and processes were influenced, which have a positive impact on the damage of nerve repair and the improvement of motor function of sciatic nerve injury in rats.
