Exploration of Resolving Necrotic Tissues and Promoting Growth of New Tissues

  • Through reviewing the academic origin of the therapy of resolving necrotic tissues and promoting new tissues' growth as well as summarizing the etiology and pathogenesis of chronic ulcer disease, it is believed that the irregular flow of qi and blood, disharmony of nutritive qi and defensive qi, malnutrition of muscle and skin are all due to the interaction of toxin, necrotic tissues, blood stasis and xu. In line with the main pathogenesis, the chief methods of remove toxin, eliminate necrotic tissues, resolve stasis and tonify deficiency are pertaining to the resolving the necrotic tissues and promoting the new tissues' growth. Resolving necrotic tissues is combined with promoting growth of new tissues. Promoting growth of new tissues is contained in and also assisted by resolving necrotic tissues, two of which are interdependent and have corresponding emphases. Exploring the therapy of resolving necrotic tissues and promoting new tissues' growth and making it conforming to the clinical ulcer healing rules can be helpful for its cure. At the meanwhile, the advantages and distinguishing features of traditional Chinese medicine in ulcer tissue's regeneration can be identified, and better guidance for traumatic scientific research and treatment of ulcer will be made.
