A Study on TCM Symptomatology Based on Treatment of 480 Cases of Children''''s Viral Pneumonia

  • OBJECTIVE To investigate into the features of TCM symptomatology of children's viral pneumonia.METHOD Clinical observations were carried out in four centers by filling out the investigating tables and analyzing the data obtained.RESULT Marked differences were detected in syndrome distribution.CONCLUSION The commonest syndrome is obstruction of the lung by phlegm heat and the secondary syndrome is invasion of the lung by wind-heat.The main symptoms include fever, cough with sputum,rale,shortness of breath and nose flaring.Other symptoms include aversion to cold,nose flaring,sweating,sore throat,flushed face,profuse urination,thirst,nasal discharge,etc.The symptoms are of great value to syndrome differentiation.
