Several Questions Concerning Construction of Specialty of History and Literature of Traditional Chinese Medicine

With the aim of "inheritance, development, systemization and improvement" of Chinese medicine, there exists close relationship among the original second-class specialties in the history and literature of traditional Chinese medicine. The range and complexity of the specialties determines the complexity of the extension of the specialties and the diversity of the structure of personnel knowledge. Emphasis in research should be laid on inheriting traditional Chinese medicine, cultivating versatile personnel in literature information of traditional Chinese medicine, revealing the regularities of traditional Chinese medicine, developing the theories of traditional Chinese medicine and increasing the level of diagnosis and treatment.
