Abstract: OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of Huoxue Tongfu Formula on the expression of Nrf2， HO-1， NQO1 and mRNA in rats with postoperative peritoneal adhesion. METHODS Peritoneal adhesion was evaluated by gross abdominal adhesion score.The expressions of Nrf2， HO-1 and NQO1 were detected by western blot method. The expressions of Nrf2、HO-1 and NQO1 mRNA were tested via qPCR. RESULTS Huoxue Tongfu Formula could significantly reduce adhesion scores (P<0.01)， manifested by evidently increased expression of Nrf2， HO-1 and NQO1 protein and mRNA(P<0.01). CONCLUSION The expression of Nrf2， HO-1 and NQO1 in the adhesions of rats with peritoneal adhesion is significantly affected by Huoxue Tongfu Formula， which is able to resist peritoneal adhesion by regulating Nrf2 and its downstream factors and enhancing the ability of anti-oxidative stress.
