Differentiation Treatment of Palpitations from Contention and Binding between Heat and Stasis

  • The academic experience of Professor Fang Zhuyuan (the first Qi Huang scholar) is summarized in terms of the arrhythmia pathogenesis of contention and binding between heat and stasis syndrome combined with the prescriptions and medicines used in the clinical treatment. Professor Fang believes that contention and binding between heat and stasis is one of the keys to the pathogenesis of palpitations. Thus, the treatment should be based on dissolving stasis and clearing heat, while taking into account treating both qi and yin, as well as zang-fu organs. In addition, the treatment of palpitations guided by this academic thought has achieved satisfying therapeutic effects.
