2007, 23(6): 358-361.
Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the therapeutic effect of the treatment of ischemic apoplexy by treating both phlegm and blood stasis.METHOD By studying related medical literature from 1979 to 2006,the authors carried out a randomized clinical trials(RCT) on the treatment of ischemic apoplexy.RESULT Among the 9 RCTs,the corresponding literature materials were all quite poor.In therapeutic effect evaluation, the OR value of treatment group vs.the control group was 3.41 (95%CI:2.40,4.85);in neurofunctional impairment, the WMD(fixed) value of the treatment group vs.the control group was-5.09(95%CI:-6.46,-3.71);in changes in blood rheology, the WMD(random) value of packed cell volume in the treatment group vs.the control group was-4.60(95%CI:-6.54,-2.66)(P<0.000 01); in changes in blood lipid, the WMD(fixed) value of the treatment group vs.the control group was 0.08(95%CI: 0.02,0.13).CONCLUSION In addition to the routine treatment, the method of treating both the phlegm and blood stasis can be used by using some Chinese drugs to enhance the clinical effect, especially the effect of restoring nerve function.

2007, 23(6)
Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To investigate into the pharmacological effect and chemical composition of the organic acid of Radix Ranunculns Ternati.METHOD In vitro susceptibility test on tuberculosis bacteria and GC-MS technique were used. RESULT The organic acid of the drug had anti-tuberculosis effect with dose-effect relationship. GC-MS analysis indicated that multiple kinds of organic acid existed. CONCLUSION The organic acid of the drug is responsible for its anti-tuberculosis effect.

2007, 23(6): 368-370.
Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To investigate the inhibiting effect of pentenol homologens on tumor cells.METHOD MTT method was adopted to observe the inhibiting effect of pentenol homologens on SGC-7901 human cancer cell strains,LoVo human colon adenocarcinoma cell strains and Hela human uterine cervix cancer cell strains.RESULT P-1 and P-2 had relatively low inhibiting effect on the cancer cell strains, while P-3 had relatively high inhibiting effect, which tended to increase with the increase of concentration and time.CONCLUSION Pentenol homologens has different degrees of inhibiting effect on tumor cells.

2007, 23(6)
Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To carry out GC-MS qualitative identification and fingerprint chromatography analysis on the lipid soluble components in Plumula Nelumbinis Nuciferae grown in different loeatious.METHOD Chloroform was used to extract the lipid soluble components of Plumula Nelumbinis Nuciferae, GC-MS technique was used to identify the composition of the lipid soluble substances, area nomalizatin method was used to determine the relative content of the substances in the sample, and Excel similarity evaluation and SPSS cluster analysis were used to compare the seven kinds of Phunula Nelumbinis Nuciferae. RESULT More than 40 kinds of lipid soluble components were isolated by GC; 16 kinds were identified by MS, in which 14 were fatty acids, 24 were ketone. The fingerprint chromatography analysis showed that the similarity rate of Plamula Nelumbinis Nueffeme grown in different locations was over 0.97. Seven kinds of Plumula Nelumbinis Nuciferae were divided into three classes according to cluster analysis, but no marked differences were detected among them. CONCLUSION The lipid soluble components of 7 kinds of Phumula Nelumbinis Nuciferae are of high consistency, with no area differences in basic composition.

Clinical Report on Comprehensive Treatment of 186 Cases of Peripheral Facial Paralysis
ZHOU Jun-qing
2007, 23(6): 395-397.
Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To search for the optimal time and method for the acupuncture treatment of peripheral facial paralysis and predict its prognosis.METHOD One hundred and eighty-six patients were divided into a treatment group and two control groups. In the treatment group, both acupuncture and drugs were used, with electrical needles used during the recovery phase;in the control group one, western medicine was used in both the acute phase and the recovery phase;in the control group two, acupuncture alone was used during the acute phase and no electrical needles were used during the recovery phase.CONCLUSION The therapeutic effect obtained in the treatment group was better than the control groups with shorter duration of treatment(P<0.05),and no marked differences were found between the two control groups(P>0.05).This suggests that during the acute phase it is effective to apply acupuncture on the diseased side of the face.Different methods have different kinds of effect, and the optimal method is to use both acupuncture and drugs during the acute phase use electric needles as soon as possible during the recovery phase.
Clinical Report on 20 Cases of Treatment of Ischiorectal Abscess with loose Thread-drawing
QIAN Hai-hua, HUANG Ji-cheng
2007, 23(6): 398-400.
Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To investigate into the effect and safety of loose thread-drawing in the treatment of ischiorectal abscess.METHOD Forty patients were randomly and evenly divided into two groups. In the treatment group loose thread-drawing was used and in the control group normal method was used.RESULT The cure rates in both groups were 100%,with no statistical significance(P>0.05).However,statistically significant differences existed in healing time and occurrence of complications(P<0.05).No serious accidents occurred during the treatment.CONCLUSION Loose thread-drawing is effective in treating ischiorectal abscess, with such advantages as good protection of the anus, less complications and less pain.
Treatment of 39 Cases of Chronic Stable Angina Pectoris with Tongxinluo Capsule
WANG Ya-qing
2007, 23(6): 401-402.
Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of Tongxinluo Capsule in the treatment of stable angina pectoris.METHOD Seventy-six patients were randomly divided into a control group of 39 patients treated with Tongxinluo Capsule as well as western drugs Metoprolol,Simvastatin, and enteric-coated aspirin, and a control group treated with only the western drugs mentioned above. All the patients were given therapeutic effect evaluation four weeks after the treatment.RESULT The total effective rates with ECG obtained in the treatment and control groups were 71.18% and 48.64% respectively(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Tongxinluo Capsule has definite effect in treating stable angina pectoris.
