Several Questions in Present Textbook Study of Exogenous Febrile Diseases
ZHAO Ming-fang
2007, 23(5): 280-283.
Abstract:
The new edition of Treatise on Exogenous Febrile Diseases has been renamed as Study of Exogenous Febrile Diseases, with different layout and content. These changes are open to discussion. The study of the exogenous febrile diseases is different in category from treatise of exogenous febrile diseases, and therefore the new name of the book is not accurate. Treatise on Exogenous Febrile Diseases has initiated the practice of combining diseases with syndromes, and due respect should be shown to this classical work in the original.

2007, 23(5): 289-291.
Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To observe the therapeutic effect of Xiaozhi Huoxue Oral Liquid and Silybin Meglumine Tablet used in the treatment of alcoholic fatty liver (AFL).METHOD Eighty-nine AFL patients were divided randomly into three groups,a Chinese and western drug group of 29 patients,a Chinese drug group of 30 patients and a western drug group of 30 patients.Based on alcoholic abstinence, all the patients were given multiple vitamin oral liquids.RESULT The cure rates, effective rates,non-effective rates and total effective rates in the three groups were 12,15,2,93.1%;6,12,12,60.0% and 6,11,13,56.7% respectively, with marked statistical significance(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The therapeutic method combining Xiaozhi Huoxue Oral Liquid and Silybin Meglumine Tablet is more effective than simple Chinese drug or western drug therapies in improving clinical symptoms and reducing blood lipid.

2007, 23(5): 297-301.
Abstract:
To study the effect of pyretilysis, conscious-sedation, and blood clotting of water buffalo horn, to search the substantial basic of baffulo born. METHOD Pyretolysis experiment, spontaneous movement experiment and blood clotting experiment were used to investigate the bioactivity of water baffulo horn powder, heating water-pheresis and colding water-pheresis. Column chromatography was used to isolate the water baffulo horn heating water-pheresis into three fractions, which were investigated the antipyretic effects. RESULT The experiments showed that water baffulo horn powder, heating water-pberesis and colding water-pberesis, could reduce the times of spontaneous movement, shorten the time of blood clotting time, and reduce the temperature of febrile rat, and the effect of heating water-pheresis was better than colding water-pheresis. The fractions of high-molecular and low-molecular could reduce the temperature of febrile rat, the effect of mid-molecular was inconspicuous. CONCLUSION Water baffulo horn had the effect on pyretolysis, sedation and blood clotting. The fractions of high-molecular and low-molecular had the effects on pyretolysis.

2007, 23(5): 304-306.
Abstract:
To find the optimal preparation technique for oleum curcumae wenchowensis microballoon with orthogonal method. METHOD Orthogonal method was used to find the best technique, with the diameter of the microballoon, its distribution, drug-beating amount, envelop rate, etc. as the indexes. RESULT The microballoons prepared according to the optimal technique parameters assumed good appearance and the diameter conforms to the requirement for hepatic artery embolism, with an average drug-bearing rate of 9.45 %, envelop rate of 32.34%, an average yield rate of 85.19%, and good reproducibility. CONCLUSION The established preparation technique for 01eum curcumae wenchowensis microballoon is feasible.
