OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effect and safety of Tongluo Ningxin Oral Liquid in the treatment of unstable angina pectoris.METHOD Fifty-five patients with coronary heart disease and angina pectoris were randomly divided into two groups: a treatment group of 31 patients treated with Tongluo Ningxin Oral Liquid,and a control group of 24 patients treated with Compound Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae Drop Pill for a month.RESULT The total effective rate of Tongluo Ningxin Oral Liquid was 58.06%,which is similar to 58.33% found in the control group,but the markedly effective rate was 19.35%,which is much higher than 8.89% in the control group.The oral liquid is also more satisfactory in the improvement of symptoms and heart function.CONCLUSION Tongluo Ningxin Oral Liquid is safe and markedly effective in the treatment of unstable angina pectoris and can relieve myocardial ischemia.

OBJECTIVE To investigate into effect of Xiaokekang Capsule on patients with impaired glucose regulation(IGR).METHOD Eighty-eight IGR patients were randomly divided into two groups: a treatment group treated with Xiaokekang Capsule and a control group treated only with placebo.Both groups were given IGR and DM education and guidance on diet and exercise.RESULT After six months,the blood sugar and blood lipid were properly regulated in the treatment group.Among 43 patients,IGR changed into NGT in 27 patients.In the control group,this figure was only 14.There was marked difference between the two groups(P<0.01).CONCLUSION Xiaokekang Capsule has good intervening and therapeutic effect in proventing the transformation from IGR to type II diabetes.

OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of electrical acupuncture at different frequencies in the treatment of protrusion of lumbar intervertebral disc.METHOD Electrical acupuncture at the frequencies of 10 Hz and 100 Hz was given to 30 patients.RESULT After treatment,the patients in both groups had improvement in pain,with marked difference in the severity of pain(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Low frequency at 10 Hz is more effective than high frequency at 100 Hz in relieving pain.

OBJECTIVE To explore into the microscopic behavior of different combinations of water extract of Huanglian Jiedu Decoction in the separation process using. METHOD The pH value, conductivity rate, turbidity, viscosity, etc. of the water extract of different drug combination were determined before and after the separation was made. RESULT Different changes occurred in pH value, conductivity rate, turbidity, viscosity, etc. with different drug combination. CONCLUSION PS membrane at molecular weight of ten thousand can change the physical and chemical parameters of different combinations of Chinese drugs in compound recipes.

OBJECTIVE To investigate into the effect of Naoliuke Capsule on immune organs and blood rheology of tumor-bearing mice.METHOD Observation was made on the effect of Naoliuke Capsule on the weight of the spleen and thymus of tumorbearing mice and the spleen and thymus indexes using sarcoma S180 model,and on changes of rat blood rheology using W256 tumor cells.RESULT Naoliuke Capsule at different dosages had no marked effect on the weight of the spleen and thymus of tumor-bearing mice and the spleen and thymus indexes,with no statistical significance as compared with the model group(P>0.05).Medium and large dosages of the capsule could reduce whole blood viscosity,plasma viscosity,volume of packed red blood cells and maximum agglutination of red blood cells,with marked difference as compared with the model group(P<0.05,P<0.01).CONCLUSION Naoliuke Capsule has no marked effect on the immune organs of sarcoma S180 model,but can improve blood rheology index of transplanted tumor W256 model rats,suggesting its good effect to activate blood circulation to remove blood stasis.

OBJECTIVE To carry out experimental verification on related functions of Jingxueshu Granule.METHOD Observations were made on the effect of Jingxueshu Granule on mice claw pain,the contents of aquadiol and corporin in the serum of rats,the excitability of the smooth muscle of mice uterus,the tail-cutting bleeding time of normal mice and the blood rheology of model rats.RESULT Jingxueshu Granule at low,medium and high dosages could inhibit mice claw pain caused by hot plate,with marked difference as compared with the model group(P<0.05,P<0.01).Jingxueshu Granule at low,medium and high dosages could increase the content of aquadiol,with marked difference as compared with the model group(P<0.01).Jingxueshu Granule could increase the content of serum corporin,but with no marked difference as compared with the model group.Jingxueshu Granule at low, medium and high dosages could increase the contraction of uterus smooth muscle and can be used in combination with oxytocin,with marked difference as compared with the blank control group(P<0.01,P<(0.05)).Jingxueshu Granule at low,medium and high dosages could reduce whole blood viscosity and plasma specific viscosity,with marked difference as compared with the model group(P<0.01,P<0.05).CONCLUSION Jingxueshu Granule has analgesic and tranquilizing effect and can promote uterine smooth muscle contraction,arrest blood,activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis.

OBJECTIVE To investigate into the effect of Herba Ephedrae on high-lipid rats. METHOD Automatic biochemical analyzer was used to detect the changes in the content of cholesterol in the blood of rats. RESUiT Herba Ephedrae could markedly reduce the content of cholesterol in the blood. CONCLUSION Herba Ephedrae has the effect of antagonizing hypercholesteremia and this effect is probably related to the effect of ephedrine.

OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of versulin on the recovery of the function of ischemic retina of rats.METHOD Thirty rat retina ischemia models were made by artery ligation,divided into a treatment group of 20 rats treated with injected versulin and a control group of 10 rats treated with injected DMSO.Visual electric physiograph was used to examine the recovery of the function of retina.RESULT The retina function recovery in the treatment group was markedly more satisfactory than the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Versulin can promote the recovery of the function of ischemic retina of rats.
